Hello hello~ The long awaited trip to the infamous Museum of Ice Cream finally came around and ya girl is here to show you exactly what went down with this visit of mine 🙂 I tried so many times to get tickets to this museum and failed each time previously. But ya girl did not give up, a-ha! I went ahead and waited it out and finally got tickets somewhere back in May and finally went this past Thursday (August 10). So yes, I waited 3 whole months for a trip to a museum that lasted about an hour? Hahah. Worth it? Hmm.. continue reading or scroll down below for more photos and we shall see if I find it worth it or not 😀
The Museum of Ice Cream is located in downtown Los Angeles, California and I believe they also have a location in San Francisco and New York. Originally, I was unable to score a weekend ticket just because they were sold out too quickly which was a bummer. However, my friend told me she thinks it is better to go during a weekday just so it is less crowded and whatnot. So I went on a Thursday right after I get out of work and it was not so bad! How the process works is easy: 1. you wait in a group (about 10 people) 2. you can spend as much time in each ‘room’ (different decorations/themes) as you want to, but once you leave the room, you cannot go back so yes, it’s a one-way process 3. The museum is seriously goals! Everything pastel and just yummy looking haha! I love how pink and cutesy everything are in here. I could not control my inner child side as I continued giggling my way throughout the entire trip to my boyfriend. Another thing that I thought was smart marketing is the snacks they gave out in each room. Sadly, I was not able to take pictures of the snacks they offered because I ended up devouring them all before I could even remember to take photos of them LOL. The snacks consist of: ICE CREAM (duh~), mochi, chocolate, gummy bears, etc. And they were yummy, yaasss!
(Note: I apologize for the blurry/low quality photos, we took these photos on our phones’ cameras + indoor lightning = blehh OTL)

Now, onto the outfit!~ I was debating for the longest time on what to wear because I was just so excited to finally able to go onto this mini ‘adventure’ to this museum that everyone was talking about. All the bloggers and friends on my Instagram feed were posting the photos about this place and I was just so sad I was (literally) the only one that have yet gone to this place. Worry not ’cause ya girl finally went haha and I definitely made sure I had fun! Back to the outfit (oops), I looked at photos of this place before I went on picking out my outfits and I thought it would be ‘out of the place’ if I were to wear my usual attire of (mostly) black so I went for something that matches the theme of this museum more. PASTEL!
I picked out this two piece set from SammyDress (Use code: SAMMY666 for 12% off) and I am obsessed with it! A little bum out that it was slightly ‘loose’ because I chose size Medium (based on the size chart) but a Small would have fit me perfectly. SIGH. Anyways, this outfit consists of a strapless crop top with tie straps (?) on the arms and a pair of matching high waisted shorts. Let me tell you guys, I am so in love with stripes since forever and this set has just that, STRIPES! And the colors combo of this set are so so adorable, baby/dusty blue and white, ugh, my fav! Then I paired it with my recent favorite sandals from ZooShoo (brand is J.Adams)! The two piece set is already pastel-y and tone down so I went for a pair of nude shoes to elongate my short legs and balance out the outfit. I love how comfortable the sandals are and definitely goes with everything due to its’ color and the strappy front details can easily dress up or down an outfit.

And of course, the pink swimming pool that’s filled with (non-edible) sprinkles 🙂
Now, was this all worth it? I would say, yes. The wait was definitely long and I literally almost forgot I had already bought tickets for this museum too, tbh. The cost is $29 plus some fees so about $33 total and at first, I thought that was one heck ridiculous of a price for a museum entrance ticket. And to be honest, I still think it is overpriced. However, I must say the experience is different for everybody. My boss went with his family and said it was whatever and not worth the money but I personally think it was fun and worth-while though the price could have been slightly cheaper then the overall trip would have been more ‘worth it’ haha.
Overall, I do highly recommends all you gals (and guys) within the LA area to check out this place while it is still open/available. I had lots of fun seeing a bunch of pastel-y stuffs in one day haha and took a tons of photos as well. My boyfriend and I agreed that our experience was not bad and that we did actually enjoyed it better than expected! Hope you guys enjoy the post, see you all soon~ Have a lovely week everyone!
