Hello lovelies!~ Happy first day of August! I am back again with another fashion post and I am excited to show you guys this quick post of what I wore to concerts! For all my first time readers, I wanted to share with you all a ‘not-so-secret’ kind of secret, and that is, I love going to KPOP concerts. Yes, not just any kind of concerts but KPOP (Korean Pop) in particular! So far, I have been to 5 kpop concerts in 2017 alone and I am going to one more soon 🙂 I am thankful to be receiving any kind of opportunities of going to see my favorite artists/groups performing live in person here in California as these groups are based in Seoul, South Korea. Over the past few years, KPOP weren’t as well known therefore, most of these artists/groups hardly ever come to the states to perform. However, now that KPOP has gotten itself quite a name within the International regions such as the US, Canada, and Europe, hence KPOP artists are slowly coming to these countries more. And I am not complaining, haha.
Now, I personally love KPOP merch (clothes, accessories, etc) and would not mind collecting them (only certain ones haha), but I also like to stand out wearing what I normally wear. At these kinds of concerts, you’ll find tons and tons of fans representing the fandom that they support by decking out in all kpop merch (usually of a particular artist/group that they go to see). In my honest opinion, I think that you are not obligated to buy every merch your favorite artist/group ever comes out with to be a ‘fan.’ I have been into kpop for as long as I can remember for 10 years and have been religiously watching Korean dramas and shows since I was just 7-8 years old yet I don’t even own as much kpop merch as some fans and I am still proud to call myself a fan for my favorite groups/artists. That being said, in this post, I will go over what I personally like/normally would wear to a KPOP concert (or any concert!) while trying to stay comfortable and cute at the same time! 🙂 Staying comfortable has always been my main priority for almost ANYTHING and I kid you not because this is important and most people overlook this quite often. Yes, you would want to wear your new pair of strappy heels but keep in mind that most concerts will requires lots of walking AND standing, even if you have seats tickets (like me, most of the times).

Most of the times, I tend to reach for something more comfortable or casual such as high waisted shorts or in this case, wide legs pants (aka palazzo pants) in which have been my recent go-to for a lot of days. Now that it is summer time, I wanted to keep myself staying cool without baring it all and these pants have been my lifesaver all summer long. They are comfortable, keep your legs from getting exposed to the sun, gives you a nice figure (especially high waisted ones), and they go with literally everything. No kidding!
In one of my recent posts where I talked about How I styled palazzo pants, I mentioned that while wearing these pants, I personally like to keep my upper portion more fitted to balance everything out. Seeing as I am a very petite person standing at merely 5 feet tall, the last thing I would wanna do is drowning out my bodyshape, therefore, balance is key. Fitted top, flare bottoms. To keep the ‘comfortable’ theme going, I normally like to wear something that I know I can wear/walk/stand in all day so I would opt for something such as: sneakers, flats, short heels boots, or comfy sandals. In this case, I opted for 2 of my go-to footwear, a pair of sneakers and a pair of strappy sandals. For accessories, I like to keep it minimal as you wouldn’t want to have things getting in the way of you trying to dance your night away while enjoying the concert. For me, personally I am not quite the accessories type of gal, therefore, most of the times, I opt for something like a pair of earrings, a choker necklace, and a small bag or backpack to go with my entire outfit.
I feel that you don’t have to go ‘all out’ with your outfit to feel like you’re attending a concert or in my case, a KPOP concert. We all can enjoy the music as the others without having to sacrifice our comfort, ya know? 🙂
